RE: Monolithic vs fragmented indices

Totally unrelated to 'tipping' Requires a great deal of training to be able to perform properly. I am, alas, sworn to secrecy on the exact definition for two reasons - a) it's dangerous and we wouldn't want untrained people to go around hurting themselves (and more importantly the cows) and b) if I mentioned it's true meaning this message would not make it past our filter, through yours, or might result in a sudden act of awkward orking by the great Pouba of the extranational cow-orking society (whose name continually changes to protect himself). I also wouldn't want to offend anybody. Think of all of the cows who are out there right now reading this group who are probably even now writing the Bush administration to have me locked up for intemperance. Sorry - I flew in late last night and my eyeballs are still bleeding. Only 78 more emails to read, plus the 68 that made it by the delete key, that I want to consider more carefully. I believe that one is even an invitation to the next cow and pig-orker gathering. ;-) cheers j. > -----Original Message----- > From: Ronald Cole [mailto:ronald@forte-intl.com] > Sent: Friday, January 19, 2001 11:40 PM > To: informix-list@iiug.org > Subject: Re: Monolithic vs fragmented indices > > > "Parker, Jack" wrote: > > shallower btree.
