Reading images of an Informix database from Visual Basic

Hi! I work with Informix 7 and Visual Basic 5.0. I have a database with a table with fields type Byte. There, I could to save images with a program developed with NewEra 3.10. (only *.bmp). Now, I want to read them from an application in Visual Basic and I can't. I have an ODBC connection and there isn't problems to read numbers, strings, etc. But the images, I can't view them.
