Tiffany Are you trying to back up the Informix chunks? Do you know whether you could ever restore and re-use these files (in all circumstances) ? There are several choices, but at some sites we do: 1. An Informix archive to disk 2. Backup the archive file, not the chunks. I see in the man pages a command "savepnpc." Would I use this? If so, how do I implement this. My supervisor is thinking that a cron with savefs and the informix commands would work on the client and then when the backup server does it's scheduled backup of the client it will back up the completed savesets from this cron...
