tbcheck and sizing

OK, OK I'm new. that out of the way, I have a question regaurding chunks and their sizing and obtaining a free list. I am looking for a way to show, graphically if possible, the structure of a raw disk. I currently have 3 1.3Gbyte raw disks on line of which the report from tbstat -d shows: chk/dbs offset size free bpages flags pathname 1 1 0 25000 22334 PO- /dev/disk1 2 2 25000 500000 100094 PO- /dev/disk1 3 3 0 125000 7 PO- /dev/disk2 4 4 125000 250000 13470 PO- /dev/disk2 5 5 375000 250000 177876 PO- /dev/disk2 6 3 0 62500 62473 PO- /dev/disk3 6 active, 8 total From this you can see that of the three disks that are on line I have two, disk1 and disk2 which are pretty well full, however, disk1 has about 100,000 pages open not assigned (is that correct?). Disk3 has a hole bunch of room. Ok now to the meat, I would like to have some way to present this without trying to keep a spreadsheet of these values to display the available space, starting offsets and such. Anybody know of such a tool and or utility? Maybe Informix has one but I am I unable to locate it? How do others keep track of the disk space usage? Is there some way of doing automatic generation of offsets and sizes given a full pathname to a raw device? adv(thanks)ance, *---------------------*---------------------------------------* | Butch Stokes | E-MAIL: stokes@.spk.hp.com | | Hewlett Packard | HPDESK: Butch Stokes/HP1000 | | P.O.
