Informix bug???

Hi all, I have a table which contains names on a column. I make a: select name from that_table where name matches '*a*' The problem is that select returns some not wanted values, that don't contain a, but contain (!!!) ' or ' or '. For example, I made a select with '*q*', and no name contains q, but I got all the names which contain ',','. Any solutions for that? Thanks. Florin Micle <florinmicle@gsc-mbh.de>
