Engagement
DBReplay is delivered by Oninit as a product with consulting attached, licensed per migration project. There is no self-serve download — every engagement starts with a scoping call and a trial capture.
Start a scoping call
Email support.info@oninit.com with the following information:
- Source and target database engines, and versions if known
- Approximate transaction volume and peak concurrency on the source
- Whether the source connection is encrypted, and with which TLS version if known
- Where the application clients connecting to the source actually run — same network segment, a different LPAR, a different data centre
- Target timeline for the migration cutover
Oninit will respond with a proposed scope and, in most cases, a request for a trial capture — a plain packet capture your team runs, with no DBReplay software involved and no unusual security approval needed. It's usually the fastest way to answer the open questions a scoping call can't settle from a description alone.
Licensing

| Ongoing sizing use | Where a customer wants to reuse a capture against different target configurations after the initial proof — an instance class or parameter-group comparison, for example — available as an extension to the original engagement. |

DBReplay is delivered and supported by the same Oninit engineering team behind DBVoyeur, Oninit’s SQL-level performance monitor, and two decades of supporting the global Informix community as the “Down System Specialists.” Support through an engagement is included as part of the project licence.
