User Access

All operating system users have access to the Informix environment, providing that they have a correct set of Environment Parameters. Any user with such access can create a database within the Informix environment. However, what access they have to other databases and objects within those databases depends on what permissions have been granted to the user.

The user informix does have special powers. The user can perform all Database Administrator duties on all databases in the Informix environment.
