Essential functions include system planning, configuration, management, tuning and diagnosing complex connectivity or security problems. Data Base Administrator Louisianna To $50K Data Base Manager/Systems Administrator Candidate should have thorough knowledge of managing large databases. Must have supervisory experience. Informix, Accounting, time and billing data knowledge helpful. Company uses a Windows NT system comprising of 140 computers and one satellite office. They are full Microsoft and use Corel Word Perfect. Prefer candidate with Microsoft certification, but not mandatory. Successful candidate will supervise 2 computer technicians and must have the capability and willingness to roll up their sleeves and do some of the technicians work on occasion. Informix DBA Colorado To $70-72K New client is seeking and INFORMIX DBA to provide support in the area of database administration (normalizing, backups, creating and destroying indexes etc. (30% of time) as well as data modeling). Will participate in large data warehouse project slated for 2000. Must have UNIX based database experience. Excellent opportunity to work in new technology; company at 160; IT has 17. DBA Colorado To $40-60K DBA - skills required: Informix or RDBMS, SQL, UNIX, Korn Shell, or Bourne Shell Scripting, MPP. DBA will be responsible for a large Terabyte database, and will administer all DBA duties to include: development, maintenance, warehousing, and web-generated reporting. DBA - Peoplesoft Fin. I say this relativeto the other salaries quoted, and on the assumption that "to 50K" means a maximum of 45K if you include the cost of your desk, PC and LAN as part of your package. Looks like Informix DBA's get a good deal in USA. They actually get paid money. Working in the UK you get bread , water and on christmas, if you were really good , you even get butter. Paul can you tell me where you are working so I can get myself a job there earning $45K a month.
