Young, About printing from Informix.... If you have a single default printer you want to use, set the unix environment variable DBPRINT to the print program you want to use (eg. lp or lp -d printer_name). We use many different printers and do most of our printing using the run command (to access unix) from 4gl using a global printer variable defined for each user depending on which program they are running - Our users are able to easily change which printer they wish to print to.
