locale and compilation problem

Hi I have a couple of problems 1) When I run an informix esql/C program to open the database in the program with database statement , program fails with 23101 error. It is on a sun solaris 2.6 and informix 7.11 I looked at systables for tabid = 90 and 91 . No records found. 2) I have programs written on sun os , informix 7.2 . They compile fine and run fine. But when we port the program to solaris , it core dumps the moment it calls a 4gl program. we are using gcc to compile the progrmas.
