The email to news interface is reliable IMHO. I'm regularly on sites without a news feed and always just register with the email listing. The only hassle is I have news access back in my office and the two aren't synchornised. The main downer is there is a lag in the email and it doesn't tend to be threaded. re: free news servers, probably but I don't know, like I said I just use the email option. Unfortunately, this probably means that I'll also lose my newsgroup feed as well. Aside from trying to get newsgroup access from our own server, are there any alternatives? I know that the listserv is still up and running, but is it reliable? Any free news servers out there? I'd like to have a solution where I can save the 'messages' to disk for later review, much like I can do currently with Netscape. Just trolling for possibilities . . . . Would www.deja.com work for your situation. Obviously it cannot be relied 100% but it serves the purpose OK for me. Again this is possible if the Net Administrators do not block the site. Deja is free to use. You might need to sign up though. Ram S.
