Treating Informix as an equal to Db2 are we? And what happened to the idea of a reorg command in IDS, online reorg appears to have dropped off the roadmap....

It's absence hasn't hurt sales of Informix so far, and it's presence hasn't exactly turn DB2 into an Oracle-crushing behemoth, either. > Treating Informix as an equal to Db2 are we? That would be a gross insult to IDS. > And what happened to the idea of a reorg command in IDS, online reorg > appears to have dropped off the roadmap.... You're basing that on a non-confidential bit of marketing ... ? Anyway, this is something that would drive me to drink if I was in R&D: no-one says thanks for anything that you put into the code, you put something in and it's either late, or wrong, or if it's right and on time, then it's "why isn't that other feature in there?" It's easy to carp. Just ask my wife. -- Cheers, Obnoxio The Clown http://obotheclown.blogspot.com
