DBD-Informix 6.0 on Linux

We installed 4GL, IDS, and IConnect on Linux. We are trying to compile DBD-Informix 6.0 and we receive the following error when executing "perl Makefile.PL": "Configuring DBD-0.60 ... "You are using DBI-1.12 and Perl version 5.00503" "No executable ESQL/C compiler /usr/informix/bin/esql" All the environment looks like it is set correctly. We have the ESQL libraries from the ICONNECT install, but no ESQL/C compiler for Linux. Please shed some light on what we need to get this going :-)) I appreciate this news group greatly !

You need the CSDK (ClientSDK) product or the ESQL/C product - you need an ESQL/C compiler, as is explained at length in the README file and the Informix.Licence file to which you are referred by the info from running 'perl Makefile.PL'. -- Jonathan Leffler (jleffler@informix.com, jleffler@earthlink.net) Guardian of DBD::Informix v0.60 -- see http://www.perl.com/CPAN #include <disclaimer.h>
