time consuming requests

Hi, We are using informix version "11.50.FC4" on SunOS 5.10 sun4v sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-T1000. We have multiple instances on same server. We are observing that those instances which are more busy (getting frequent requests) are serving the requests efficiently where the requests on an instance with very light load taking more time. Time-taking requests are observed when a request on the instance comes after a long time. If requests on the instance are frequent then that instance behaves good. Configuration for all instances is same. Can you suggest how this behavior can be change. We are thinking that it is instance process aging issue. regards, Kamran

Way to broad - can you narrow this down and provide some specific examples of slow requests vs. fast ones? There are tons of perf tuning experts here who will help you if you can provide this... MM
