The /etc/services file maps service names to tcp/udp port numbers (like /=
etc/hosts
maps host names to ip addresses). If you use a service NAME on any machin=
e
there must be a mapping to a port number in the local services file.
Usually you use service names in the sqlhosts file.
If you can't modify the /etc/services file on the sgi box, you could use =
the port number
in the sqlhosts file there - but that's no good style.
