What permissions to set?

Hi, we are using INFORMIX-SQL Version 6.00.UE2 on a UNIX_SV 4.0 3.0 server. I've just created a new database and tried to connect and query to it remotely. All works fine if I use the root login to connect to it. Every other user causes an error saying 'Database not found or no system permission'. The privileges have been set correctly (grant connect + grant resource) and the users are known to the unix system. I'm sure I missed something - but don't know what it is. Could someone please point me into the right direction? -- Ronny (mailto:NOSPAM.riscos@gmx.net) (Remove 'NOSPAM.' for e-mail replies)
These are remote clients? Make sure each user has a valid login on the server (password only needed if you will be connecting using name and password). Make sure there is a .rhosts file in the users' home directories naming their client machine. Art S.
