Ron Rink > Haven Enterprises, Inc. > Middlebury, Vermont Ron, Sorry, I can't answer for text forms in 4GL, but for most GUI-based forms and/or web-based forms the following should apply. MS Windows, OS/2 PM, and X Windows all have one thing in common (or almost in common as time goes on) - that is the Presentation Manager style guide. In these graphical user environments, using TAB-key should allow th e user to skip from one field to the next. There is something called a TAB-GROUP that the GUI form developer sets up to control the flow of how the tab key moves forward (or the SHIFT-TAB key combination moves backwards) within a set of selectable input field. In the case of CHECKBOXes, using the space bar to toggle the value in the currently active (selected) CHECKBOX should do the trick. Hope that is helpful.
