A standard Unix ODBC client sounds a ideal solution for us. Is that > possible? We have done this with ESQL/C and Informix-Net on the client side and Informix-Star ond Informix-Online on the server side. This works very well, also with Informix 5.0 . The client and the server can be totally different unix versions. I'm not sure if you will need and ESQL/C runtime on the client if the client is not the same computer as your development computer. It will probably work without , but may be a violation of some licensing rules from Informix. I suggest you contact a sales rep from Informix. -- 'yvind Gjerstad Systems dept Tollpost-Globe AS N-6301 'ndalsnes/Norway E-mail: ogj@it.tollpost.no Phone: +47 7122 6663 Fax: +47 7122 6694
