I am curious however why you think you need a stack of windows and how you intend to use it? We also have our own function to open windows, but never put them in a stack. We simply call the function to open any window at any time as they are needed. There are a few times when we need to go back to a previous window (when a stack might have been usefull?), but at those times we have had no problems keeping track of that previous window. May be my programs haven't become complex enough yet? A small explanation/excample would be nice if you could take the time.
