Network down

I getting this error "network down" when I use on monitor. I am using informix 7.31 on HP UX 11.11. What could be the problem. I have checked the sqlhosts file and it is ok.

Hi, Try the following. 1. if you have shared memory connection, set INFORMIXSERVER to shared memory connection. ie.) sqlhosts test_shm onipcshm hostname sqlexec test_tcp onsoctcp hostname 2500bash$ export INFORMIXSERVER=test_shm bash$ onstat - 2. Change port number and SERVERNUM. IIRC,If onmonitor can not attach shared memory or can not connect to tcp, this message will appear. So change port number and SERVERNUM is changed shared memory key, and port number.
