Well, if you're just going to use Informix as a repository and leave the front end alone, I can only imagine you may have some minor SQL incompatabilities (probably at the same level as the differences between MySQL and mSQL) There is quite a bit of administration involved in keeping IDS going. But the upside is that IIF will allow you to go places MySQL could never take you.
