Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

i am trying to access SOMETHING from JDBC using the JDBC-ODBC bridge(although
JDBC should have nothing to do with the ODBC errors i get). I successfully read
from an MS Access DB(this is on win95), however on NT531 i cannot do this
either on an Access DB or using the ODBC text file driver.
The error i get is this:
S1000
[Microsoft][ODBC MIcrosoft Access 7.0 Driver] Not a valid file name
-1044
Does anyone know what any of this stuff means? I cant figure out what
"filename" it is referring to. The DB that the ODBC driver is pointing to is
C:\\lance\\testdb.mdb
I used the same ODBC variables and setup on my NT351 machine that i used on my
win95 machine(the win95 machine worked). Software-wise, the win95 machine has
Access7.0 installed (w/ODBC driver) and my NT351 machine only has the ODBC
driver for Access7.0. (i dont need to install Access on NT do i?)
thanks for any ideas.
Lance.
