The subject pretty says it all. Should I send an SQL query with this directive or is there a function for that in the ESQL/C library (I have search for it but didn't find it) Regards, Francois
In your .ec file, include...
$ set lock mode to wait;

Just issue the SQL directive as: EXEC SQL SET LOCK MODE TO WAIT; or EXEC SQL SET LOCK MODE TO WAIT :nsecs; where nsecs is an integer host variable set to the number of seconds to wait. Art S.
