Help needed Connecting with Win 98 to Linux Informix

Hello, Can anyone help me I've got a problem with Informix 7.24 UC 5 for Linux, I want to connect with a Win98 pc to the Informix Database running on linux SUSE 6.0 What thing's (??) do I need to configure an do I need to change some files I already have the sqldemo running on the linux but I can't connect from an external PC Thanks in advance, Sander Wiggers Falcon Automation N.V.

Be sure that your sever is using onsoctcp. You may want to check that your services file contains an entry that is exactly identical to your entry on the linux server you are running (name and number). It may help if you post the error message you are getting ... this will help us in debugging your problem. Lloyd AJ Wilson.
