Thanks Joe for the announcement! :-) I like the latest version as well, the only thing I noticed is that if you run "Command Center", and then attempt to use the new ROM components, they don't show up. Instead the old versions show up. I was puzzled at first why nothing had changed after the install, only to find that the new 2.1x stuff doesn't replace the older versions. The upgrade also had trouble understanding the $INFORMIXDIR, even though it was correct before the upgrade/install operation. After the install of the new ROM, there's a new menu on the Start-menu for the new ROM 2.1x products, and interestingly, Command-Center is not on the new menu. Trying to run the new ROM EXEs from the original Command-Center on the old menu--which should have been updated is in vain. The original Command-Center must look for a specific version of the ROM EXEs. The solution is to probably rename the latest versions to the older versions and end of story. After having to use SQLServer for the past few weeks, Informix's interface is quite refreshing in its' simplicity. Good work Informix. Now, if you could add a permissions interface like SQLServer you may be on to something...
