Informix Mailing List has moved

This is a combination test message and announcement to let you know that the Informix Mailing List "informix-list" has successfully moved to iiug.org. I hope. :-) At the risk of being bludgeoningly redundant, I'll reiterate that: o The list is now being maintained by the Majordomo list management software. Instructions for using Majordomo are included below. o The new posting address for the list is "informix-list@iiug.org". o To contact the new list managers, Paul Watson, Billy Wheeler and David Williams, send mail to "informix-list-manager@iiug.org". If you notice any serious problems, please contact the new list managers or me. Thanks, Walt. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Using Majordomo All informix-list administrative requests will be handled on iiug.org by the list management software package Majordomo, whose address is "majordomo@iiug.org". To subscribe to the list, send e-mail to that address with the message line: subscribe informix-list If you want to subscribe an address different from the one from which you send your request, place the address to be added to the list as a third parameter on the "subscribe" line above. Do *not* include your real name after your address as you would with a LISTSERV list. To remove your address from the list, send the message: unsubscribe informix-list to "majordomo@iiug.org". If you want to remove an address different from the one from which you send your request, place the address to be removed from the list as a third parameter on the "unsubscribe" line. Placing your subscribe or unsubscribe request in the Subject line will not cause any action, since Majordomo ignores the Subject line on all messages. If your mailer automatically appends a signature block to your outgoing e-mail, add a second line consisting of the word "end" to your message. For more details, send a message consisting of the word "help" to the "majordomo@iiug.org". Note that all commands that list subscriber addresses have been disabled. To communicate with a person, send e-mail to "informix-list-manager@iiug.org". ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Walt Hultgren Internet: walt@rmy.emory.edu (IP 170.140.97.4) Emory University UUCP: {...,gatech,rutgers,uunet}!emory!rmy!walt 954 Gatewood Road, NE BITNET: walt@EMORY Atlanta, GA 30329 USA Voice: +1 404 727 0648
