It's incredibly painful to keep track of what need to be where (especially if you upgrade the compiler or some such at some point :-) ) and difficult to keep track of what headers and libraries are being used when. Either you are confident you know what to do and don't mind wasting on wierd and wonderful errors or you don't want to bother. Yeah, it's *possible*. But, speaking with the voice of experience, it's going to go wrong :-).
