We've had PissPoor DisAdvantage, now we have the Golden Shower License Apparently there is a Golden License for support. If I buy a 7 to 9 CPU upgrade it costs around 10K, if I buy a golden license for 7 to 9 CPU upgrade it's around 8K and gives me the opportunity to move to DB2 for free at a later date. Now I might be being cynical but I bet this is counts as a successful Informix to DB2 migration (at least internally) and proves to the 'The Management' that Informix sites are moving to DB2 and hence the need to support Informix is reducing. One of the good things about being cynical is that you get to be right so often. -- Daniel Morgan http://www.outreach.washington.edu/ext/certificates/oad/oad_crs.asp http://www.outreach.washington.edu/ext/certificates/aoa/aoa_crs.asp damorgan@x.washington.edu (replace 'x' with a 'u' to reply)
