Often one of the SOC VPs is even the most CPU intensive process. = Hardware HP-UX 11.11 , 8 CPUs , 8 GB Memory , about 300 Informix connections (local, but over onsoctcp because of more than one session/ database connection per program). = Is that a usual CPU usage pattern or does that point to some misconfigura= tion? = Regards, Andreas Kutsche ------------------------------------------------ SPAR Oesterreichische Warenhandels-AG Hauptzentrale Europastra=DFe 3 A-5015 Salzburg = Telefon : +43 662 4470 24423 E-Mail : Andreas.KUTSCHE@spar.at Internet: http://www.spar.at ------------------------------------------------ = ----LNX_Mon_Mar_08_2004_11:23:07_V3.33----

=
NETTYPE settings:
NETTYPE ipcshm,1,100,CPU
NETTYPE onsoctcp,2,250,NET
=
onstat -g ntu shows 6 ipcshm entries and between 200 - 300 soctcp (s=
qlexec) entries.
=
onstat -g ntd counts about 8 - 15 Accepted / Minute , 60. 000Read /=
Minute , 60.000 Write / Minute
=
Most database sessions exist for longer times. I wouldn't call that alot =
of connect/disconnect
activity.
