Hi,
usually the reason for error -406 is that some DLL can not be found. Make
sure that not only INFORMIXDIR occurs in the PATH variable, but also
INFORMIXDIR\\bin. In some informix versions only INFORMIXDIR is set in the
path during installation.
Another possible reason is a wrong setting of environment variables. For
example, I had a -406 because the environment variable DB_LOCALE was not set
correct. So, check the settings in the registry under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\Software\\Informix\\OnLine\\CurrentVersion\\Environment and
under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\Software\\Informix\\SQLHOSTS\\...
I never found a reason for error -406 that has to do with memory problems.
Hope this helps,
Dirk
