add chunk, with offset

I need to add a chunk to an existing volume group and dbspace, which already has a smaller chunk on it. I created the first chunk, mistakenly, two small and need to fill up the rest of the space. The first chunk has filled, so I can't just drop it. volume group space = 20gb first chunk = 200mb In onmonitor, I need to specify the offset. I tried 100001 kb, but it tells me it needs to be a multiple of page size. Also, for the pathname, do I use the existing link to my physical space, or create a new sym link? Here's my existing one: prod_image2_dbs -> /dev/vg04/rprod_image2_dbs Do I create prod_image3_dbs -> /dev/vg04/rprod_image2_dbs? And how do I calculate the offset? IDS 9.4 HC5 HP-UX 11.11
Offset should be 100000 kb since offsets start with zero you do not need to add one (1). Thanks Art. What is my pathname, though? Use the existing path or create a new one, to the file system space?
WHOA, stop, new question! Is the chunk defined on a character or block device that's bigger than the chunk was defined as or is the chunk just a smaller file in a bigger filesystem? If the former, you would use the same device pathname and an offset that starts the data in the device after the existing chunk. If it's just a filesystem file, forget about offsets and just create a new file in the filesystem and use that pathname with an offset of zero. Thanks again. It was a new Informix chunk going into existing raw space. I created a new sym link to the volume group, with the proper offset and I'm good to go.
