At our site (OnLine 7.10 on SCO Unix 3.2.4.2) such a join simply doesn't return all rows. Some randomly distributed rows are lost without any warning or error code set anywhere! (Scary!) If we create an index on the temporary table the rows are returned however. Informix's responce so far is to not use temporary tables?!? They are waiting for a reproducible test case from us which we are preparing now. Nils.Myklebust@ccmail.telemax.no NM-data, Dalsbergstien 7, N-0170 Oslo, Norway My opinions are those of my company
