There is no support on it any longer, but the product is most sertanly vailable. We have obviously not asked for the compiler for some years but Informix has to be able to deliver that also! Our SQL (startsql) is ver. 2.10.02. The 4GL version I don't remember, but believe it is version 1 something, possibly 2.xx. At that time Informix tried to make versions that could load the engine in extended or expanded memory. We have never gotten those to work properly. We can however write reasonably sized programs that run with the engine and the 4GL program all within about 610 kB of free DOS memory. We use the C compiler version, and you need the old Microsoft C ver. 6.0 or 7.0 to compile it (no Visual C compiler). We do NOT recomend this however. The only reason we still sell it is the programs are developed and work well. We intend to move them all to NewEra, Visual Basic or some other tool (pretty soon now ;-). Please, forget about DOS. Get your customers/users to use Windows. It will make them (and you) so much more happy! Development is substansially simpler and faster with better tools and the results for users is easier and better to use.
