oninit -i hangs (DU 4.0D)

Hello, Today I installed a fresh Digital Unix 4.0d and Informix 7.30 (we have 40 Server with DU updated from 4.0b running Informix fine). When I do an "oninit -i", the process hangs and does nothing but eating up cpu time. The config is exactly copied from a working machine. Any hints? Is there a way to get oninit more verbose?
