I agree with Tony's suggestion to install a TCP/IP protocol stack on the PCs if IPX communication to the RS6k cannot be successfully configured. I don't, however, agree with his suggestion of using PC/TCP. Since Novell is already installed, there are two easier, less memory-hungry and CHEAPER solutions. I assume that ODI-drivers are in use on the PCs and that Informix- connectivity is needed under Windows. So there are two possibilities: 1) You are running plain Windows 3.1, (NOT Windows for Workgroups): Buy Novell's LAN Workplace for DOS. It runs over ODI drivers, comes with a WINSOCK.DLL and a site licence for the protocol stack only (which is all you really need) is only about 100$. Try matching that with PC/TCP! With this solution, you are using the already installed ODI drivers, saving on precious DOS memory. 2) You are running Windows for Workgroups 3.11: Get Microsoft's FREE 32-bit TCP/IP protocol stack and install it using the ODI/NDIS3-support of WfWG.
