My java program(s) with informix JDBC 1.40 work fine in appletviewer and as application(s) but in the browser it gives the folowing error(s): Principal: Internal Error: Unknown principal ERROR N.o: -1 : Not owner I have allready tried several URL(s) in the .java getConnection funcion and included the login name and password for the connection. The Trace option of the driver used with applet it seam to not work. Please help me. TIA Sergio sergio@despodata.pt
Sergio, Not having all the details, check the following: 1) Version of Java. If you are using JDK 1.2 you may run into problems if you try to run your applet when their JVM is 1.1 (Pre 1.2) 2) Is your browser on the same machine as your appletviewer or application? One of the security issues is that you can't run an applet that tries to make any connection other than the launching machine. So this could mean that you are having problems identifying the host and client on the network. Please consider this a wag since I don't know what the particulars are. -Mikey Sérgio Alexandre Ferreira wrote: > > My java program(s) with informix JDBC 1.40 work fine in appletviewer > and as application(s) but in the browser > it gives the folowing error(s): > > Principal: Internal Error: Unknown principal > ERROR N.o: -1 : Not owner > > I have allready tried several URL(s) in the .java getConnection > funcion and included the login name and password for > the connection. > > The Trace option of the driver used with applet it seam to not work. > > Please help me. > > TIA > > Sergio > sergio@despodata.pt
