Hello All ! I'm working with Informix Online 7.23. What data types are best to store binary data in tables (pictures, sounds) ? Does (my version) of Informix support such data types at all ? Use the built in type BYTE to create a binary BLOB column. Check the discussions on tablespace BLOBS versus BLOBspace BLOBs in the manuals. Art S.
