I have tested Q+E latest ODBC drivers, and it has drivers for both I-Net 4.1 and 5.0 on the PC. The connection is reliable, and I don't see very significant degradation in speed. However, I did encounter problems using the BLOB data types when using Power Builder, in particular BYTE, when my client evaluate Power Builder. The situation is that PowerBuilder uses OLE class when it deals with BLOB. I suppose this causes an OLE header to be attached to the BLOB, this causes any other applicatio nto be not able to recognise the BLOB even if it is suppose to be a simple format, for example, bitmap image. I guess this will not be a concern if you are using purely PowerBuilder, and has no intention of using other tools with the Informix database. Calvin Ng
