Hi, I want to ask you if anyone of you knowes where I can find an easy beginners guide for informix and perhaps a test/trial software version of the informix db for a linux system. I want to learn more about the informix db. I just worked with mysql and I need a little bit more knowledge about informix. Thx, for your help!

Start by checking out: www.iiug.org (members can download free educational copies of the software, including for Linux - membership is free), website of the International Informix Users Group. It looks like you are in Germany, so also check out the website of one of the largest local user groups in the Informix community, the German Informix User Group at www.iug.de.
