The upgrade process for an HDR pair is not as simple and smooth as it should be. Specifically, you have to: break the pair, upgrade the servers, do a level 0 archive on the primary, recover it on the secondary, and resynchronize. That's a long time without HDR protection. Yes, there are a variety of other steps that should be taken (such as a precautionary backup of the previous version, etc), but that's the gist of the problem. -- Jonathan Leffler #include <disclaimer.h> Email: jleffler@earthlink.net, jleffler@us.ibm.com Guardian of DBD::Informix v2005.01 -- http://dbi.perl.org/
