RE: Informix ISell Value?

Cache invalidation is very important, get it wrong you either serve the wrong content or you have to rebuild a base rview which takes sooooo loooonnnnngggggg. One of the big UK iSell users delivers a cached page in a milli-second or two, invalidate the cache and it takes 35 minutes. Like with most things make sure the app server code can scale, but at only 60K per day you'll have to get it seriously wrong to have problems. The app server needs a lot of memory!!! > -----Original Message----- > From: William Rice [mailto:ricew@operamail.com] > Sent: Monday, June 26, 2000 3:25 PM > To: Obnoxio The Clown; informix-list; peter-ball > Subject: RE: Informix ISell Value? > > > We run ISell where I am currently at, and from what I have seen the > App server is the biggest bottleneck.
