The problem is nothing to do with database per se. It is due to the fact the the _fgstr_len() function was removed from the product because no part of the Informix product used the function and there was zero documentation on what the function was intended for. In fact, it appears to have been used by FourGen (and Informix-Forms). If you are using some FourGen code and libraries, then this would account for the symbol. If you aren't, you need to track down precisely which module is referencing the function. If you still need the function, contact me at the office address, and I can send you the code for _fgstr_len(), something which you might be able to dig out of DejaNews (or simply Deja in its current incarnation) if you go back far enough in time -- I would suspect I last answered this question two or more years ago. Also, please let the Informix Tech Support person with whom you are dealing know that they should contact me for more information. -- Jonathan Leffler (jleffler@informix.com, jleffler@earthlink.net) Guardian of DBD::Informix v0.60 -- see http://www.perl.com/CPAN #include <disclaimer.h>
