What's the problem you are having > with these? I use Python and I am trying to get the mxODBC module to compile and connect to an Informix database. Currently the target server is on an HP, though in the future, will be Linux-Intel. The client side is on Linux. So far, it compiles for MySQL just fine, but I do not, and neither does the package maintainer, know the names and locations of the appropriate header files to include. All I am after are the client-side, really. > > OpenLink has two sets of drivers they call Single Tier and Multi Tier. > The Single Tier use I-Connect for communication with the server while > the Multi Tier drivers connect via their own protocol to a server > component that must be installed and running on a server, usually the > same as where the database server is running. I have had zero success with the client side of the OpenLink drivers on Linux, but no errors reported on the server side. ... > Post here or contact OpenLink directly if you have more problems with > these drivers. > So far I have had better response everywhere other than OpenLink (which is to say, some response...) :( -- Bill Anderson Cyberhighway Internet Services, SYCON "Pluralitas non est ponenda sine neccesitate."
