No they're not and please don't go spreading such rumors. Informix
needs all the marketing help they can get as it is. ;-}
I am about to purchase Legato's BusinessSuite for Informix backups. As
I understand it you do not need to purchase the BusinessSuite module if
you have IDS 7.3 and it is running on the server where your Legato
Networker resides. The Legato subset in the Informix release will be
sufficient for backing up your databases. In my case we are using
Legato currently to backup several file systems on several servers. My
database instances sit on remote servers to the server running Legato
Networker. I need to purchase a Legato BusinessSuite license for each
machine having Informix instances if I want Legato Networker to backup
my databases from a remote server.
