If the output is the same, I dunno. I'd worry about whether the libraries you need are all available, but that usually produces a different message. If the output is different, then you may well have the answer (wrong hardware or something). Sorry, this was partially my own mistake as you've probably already guessed. We have a remote package installer facility that sends packages to a target host and installs the software. This package (IBM Informix 4glid 7.30.UC5) was for the Siemens Reliant Unix OS. Our packages is usually made for the Solaris and AIX OS's also and that was my assumption when sending the package. Unfortunately the package did not control the OS of the target host and installed the "bad" software. I have now installed an IBM Informix 4glid version (7.20.UD7) intended for the AIX OS. Problem solved.
