Informix database on NAS or SAN

We are exploring the various ways of consolidating our databases onto a centralized storage and is now looking at both the Storage Area Network (SAN) and Network-Attached storage (NAS) solution. Our databases are on mainly on NT, HP-UX and IBM AIX platforms. Has anyone implemented the informix database on the SAN or NAS storage before? I understand that NAS can only provide Network File System (NFS). It does not support raw device, which is currently being used by our database on unix servers. Has anyone encounter any problem running the database on the NFS instead of raw devices? Any advise will be very much appreciated.
