Digitals' implementation of RAID is adaptive. The controller is intelligent, deciding on whether to optimize on i/o or bandwidth. Therefore, you probably won't be able to "outsmart" the hardware there. It's already a good implementation. > Does anybody have any experience on it. You must be using LSM for the spanning then? Since you have hardware RAID 3/5, you wouldn't want to use LSM for that. > Well, has anybody configured a system like this. I haven't, so can't help you here just yet. Also, how are your tables, logs set up? How are you setting up striping/mirroring? Best to set up the primary disks as regular JABOD and mirror that set and stripe the mirror. Tim
