RE: Compilation of dostats.ec
Posted in 1999
Art,
Any hints as to *where* in $INFORMIXDIR/bin/esql to add this flag? Include
it as part of the definition of the CC variable? Line 260 of that file (I
have version 7.24.UC8A), already contains the string "$CC -Aa ...".
Also, does your dbcopy program do a row-by-row copy (ala dbexport/dbimport),
or a page-by-page copy (ala onunload/onload)?
TIA,

The HP compiler does not recognize ANSI syntax by default. There is a
flag you need to add.
Someone sent the required flag, so I am posting for all. You have to
pass the -aA flag to cc. It is best to edit $INFORMIXDIR/bin/esql and
add this there for all compiles since it cannot hurt K&R source
programs.
