I am trying to use the APIs to perform SQLs against the database. However I am running into some strange problems. For example when I execute the following sql interactively, it works fine: select * from table where (a='1' or b='2') and c='3' When I try to execute this from a program using the APIs, it returns an empty recordset. Sometimes, stuff like this also fails, but works from the command line: select * from table where a=1 where a is numeric. I've also been having trouble with certain types of joins. I've also have been having trouble establishing two different connections to the database from within the same program. I've been beating my head against the wall on this problem and would very much appreciate some advice. My programs will be called from a CGI so the programs will come and go as needed. Is this the best way to build interfaces for a CGI? I don't have enough experience with Informix to know what I'm doing wrong or right. Thanks, Alvin Billones
