IDSfile checking tool?

Is there a tool that reads the IDSfile and compares that to the files and directories on the system? I started to script it with ksh, awk, sed, yuck, coff and puke but it occurred to me maybe someone has done it already? On occasion we have customers who modify permissions, group or ownership of a single Informix file somewhere down the path. Everything stops working and memories fade in the ensuing panic Has anyone done or heard of such a tool?
Don, Try running this as root. $INFORMIXDIR/etc/install $INFORMIXDIR/etc/IDSfiles NOCHK NOBRAND This should reset all the permission on the IDS files. I believe this is what you were asking for.
